State of Maine COVID Restrictions

The Governor of Maine, Janet Mills, has released a plan to provide for the re-opening of Maine businesses.  The plan calls for phases of opening for various industries.

The lodging industry is in phase 2 of opening.  Residents of exempt states (Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Vermont, New York, New Jersey or Connecticut) can visit Maine at any time!

Residents of states that are not exempt are required to complete and sign a Certificate of Compliance stating that they have received a negative COVID-19 test result no longer than 72 hours prior to arriving in Maine, have already quarantined in Maine, or will quarantine in Maine for 14 days.

If you would like to make a reservation, please call us directly at 207.646.3633 or reserve online and also note that we will be required to confirm your residency prior to allowing you to check-in.

The state is issuing a series of checklists and precautions lists that industries must follow to protect the health of guests, employees, and residents.  Once a business reports compliance with these requirements, they are provided a door/window decal and web badge to indicate their compliance.  The Ogunquit Inn & Cottages has obtained State of Maine COVID Compliance confirmation.

The Maine hospitality industry has created a series of training programs designed to ensure business owners are aware of and knowledgeable about the procedures and precautions that must be taken.  I have completed those training programs and have been certified.

Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to seeing you at The Beautiful Place by the Sea.
